DodgeWell Collective is Audrey Dodgen and Darrin Wells. Audrey brings product and storytelling; Darrin brings engineering and design. We build and maintain our software together.
Being small keeps us close to the people who use what we make. We build a few tools carefully and keep improving them.

Our first app
A desktop app for cataloging research photographs of manuscripts, archival documents, and historical objects. It keeps each photograph together with its repository details, notes, transcriptions, references, and figures.
We watch people use the tools they already have, ask where the work gets cumbersome, and build from those details. Each release begins with a specific problem and improves through use.
Our software should open quickly, keep your data on your machine, and remain understandable a year later.
Co-founder
Audrey has spent nearly twenty years as a storyteller and photographer. She holds an MA in photojournalism and an MBA. She built the first version of Recto Verso and leads product direction at DodgeWell.
Co-founder
Darrin has spent 15 years building for the web. He holds degrees in software development and graphic design. He builds and maintains DodgeWell's software and leads its interface design.
